Enhanced Bioremediation

The indigenous bacteria present within an aquifer have the potential to degrade contaminant plumes over time. However, in order to mitigate risks to the environment the geochemical conditions of the aquifer can be altered through the injection of an oxygen release compound to stimulate the growth and rate of aerobic degradation of contaminants.

This technique is ideal for the treatment of groundwater plumes and can be applied as a barrier or throughout the treatment zone, with only a single direct push application providing 12 months of treatment without the risk of contaminant mobilisation or the introduction of none native bacteria or chemicals.
