Air Sparging and Vacuum Extraction (AS/SVE)

image 1The combination of these two historically proven remediation techniques is ideally suited to the treatment of volatile organic contaminants such as hydrocarbons from impacted soils and groundwater.

Injecting oxygen into a contaminated aquifer strips out contaminants and enhances biodegradation. Within the unsaturated zone, contaminated vapours are recovered using vacuum pumps, removing volatiles from the environment, and encouraging the movement of oxygen rich vapour through the affected strata.

Using a containerised treatment plant, with a small footprint, this system can be installed into active sites with minimal disturbance to operations.
