The role
We’re looking for both Senior and Geo-Environmental Consultants to join our expanding land quality and remediation team. You’ll work on a diverse range of land contamination and environmental assessment projects from initial enquiry to close-out. You will help deliver high-quality technical work while supporting clients, managing programmes and contributing to a positive collaborative team environment.
About You
- Degree in an environmental, earth science or engineering discipline.
- Between 2 - 7 years relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of contaminated land assessment frameworks, regulatory guidance and industry good practise.
- Fieldwork experience, including soil/rock logging, groundwater/surface water sampling, ground gas monitoring and drilling supervision.
- Competence in managing and / or coordinating site investigations and subcontractors.
- Experience preparing clear, concise technical reports.
- Awareness of CDM and site health & safety requirements.
- Experience in remediation design, oversight or verification.
- Working knowledge of environmental permitting, planning or
due diligence.
- Familiarity with project budgeting and financial management.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver Phase 1 and Phase 2 assessments, including desk studies, site investigations, sampling, monitoring and technical reporting.
- Assist in the development of robust conceptual site models and undertake qualitative and/or quantitative risk assessments.
- Support the design, supervision and verification of remediation works.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across disciplines to deliver integrated project outcomes.
- Contribute to proposal writing, project planning and financial tracking.
- Uphold high standards in health & safety, site management and CDM compliance.
Additional responsibilities for Senior Consultants:

Lead projects from feasibility through investigation, interpretation, remediation and final reporting.

Prepare fee proposals and manage client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.

Review and approve technical reports produced by others.

Provide mentoring, guidance and technical support to junior team members.

Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, best practice and emerging guidance.

Drive continuous improvement and technical excellence across the team.
