Company Background
Formed in 2003, Geo2 initially provided services to the petrol filling station industry, and, as the company grew and new staff were taken on, the client base grew to include numerous developers and environmental consultancies.
Since relocating to Ferrybridge in 2007, to take advantage of easy access to motorway connections, the company has expanded its range of cutting edge treatment technologies.
This year Geo2 were awarded the Small Business Enterprise Award by the Association for Petroleum and Explosives Administration (APEA) in recognition of our use of fixed fee remediation contracts and novel, bespoke treatment technologies.
Adam graduated from the University of Wales, Cardiff with a degree in Environmental Geoscience and a Masters in Applied Environmental Geology.
Following a year in consultancy Adam joined Geo2 in January 2004 as site engineer and has subsequently been promoted to project manager on merit. He is a specialist in statutory authority liaison and quantitative risk assessment.
Adam currently manages the project team conducting a range of treatment programmes.
Paul Stapleton
Paul graduated from the University of Leeds with a degree in Environmental Geology in 1998.
Following a year in environmental consultancy, Paul moved into remediation contracting as a project scientist. During the next six years he gained a wealth of experience in remediation techniques, quantitative risk assessment and had been promoted to Project Manager for a major environmental consultancy.
After the move to Geo2 in 2005 as Project Manager, he became a Director in 2007.
He has recently undertaken a National Examining Board of Safety and Health (NEBOSH) qualification to NVQ level 4.
Paul has a full WAMITAB level 4, Certificate of Technical Competence in Waste Management Operations.
Mark Swindells
Mark graduated from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth in 1997 with a degree in Earth Studies.
Mark moved in Environmental Consultancy for two years before taking an active roll in remediation contracting. He soon became a Project Manager working on projects from Petrol Filling Station sites to former Gasworks.
Mark formed Geo2 in 2003 and has over twelve years industry experience which has provided him with a well respected technical and mechanical knowledge.
