Company Background
The company was formed in January 2003 by Mark Swindells and traded as McFadden Environmental Solutions as part of the McFadden Building and Civil Engineering Group based in Leeds. Initially it provided services mainly to the petrol filling station industry, and, as the company grew and new staff were taken on, the client base grew to include numerous developers and environmental consultancies.

Following a management buyout in March 2007 the company rebranded as Geo2 Remediation Limited and relocated to Ferrybridge to take advantage of easy access to motorway connections.
